REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Sparkman v. Consol Energy, Inc., 571 S.W.3d 569 (Ky. 2019) – assisted appellate team on a matter of first impression relating to tortious interference of contract
  • Marshall v. Compton, 2018-CA-000899-MR (Ky. App. 2019) – successfully defended summary judgment for school district employees (discretionary review pending before the Kentucky Supreme Court)
  • Walker v. Ragurai, LLC, et al., Fayette Circuit Court Civil Action No. 16-CI-01551 – obtained summary judgment for brand licensor in hotel wrongful death action
  • Represents a wide range of clients in appellate matters in state and federal appellate courts, including drafting amicus curiae briefs on matters of state constitutional law
  • Represents county boards of education in numerous matters, including actions based on alleged personal injuries or violations of statutory or constitutional rights, as well as employment and labor disputes
  • Represents state agencies and local governments in matters involving Kentucky’s Open Records Act, Open Meetings Act, and other issues of statutory and constitutional law
  • Represents state universities in matters involving internal employment and civil rights disputes
