The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 is Enacted

On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) was signed into law. Among other items, this $1.9 trillion package contains provisions to expand access to health insurance coverage, lower healthcare insurance costs, and make healthcare more accessible. The legislation also provides new funding for rural hospitals and additional resources for COVID-related vaccines, testing, treatment, personal protective equipment, contact tracing, and workforce development.
