Wyatt’s Hopson Receives Brandeis School of Law Alumni Award
University of Louisville’s Alumni Office has announced Edwin S. Hopson as the winner of the 2019 Brandeis School of Law Alumni Award. On October 24th, Mr. Hopson will be recognized at the annual University of Louisville Alumni Awards Ceremony. The awards ceremony recognizes one graduate from each school or college, based on their merit and contributions to the community.
Mr. Hopson is currently Senior Counsel at Wyatt, and serves as a member of Wyatt’s Labor and Employment Service Team, with a concentration in all areas of labor and employment law. His practice has been recognized with multiple honors over the years. He has been included in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers in Labor and Employment Law; Woodward/White’s, The Best Lawyers in America for Employment Law-Management, Labor Law-Management, and Labor and Employment Litigation from 2005 to 2019; he was named The Best Lawyers in America’s 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” for Louisville Employment Law Management; and was named a “Kentucky Super Lawyer” from 2007-2019. Aside from his work as an attorney, Mr. Hopson served as President of the Louisville Ballet Company and the Bellewood Presbyterian Home for Children, a local non-profit. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Law and Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville’s School of Law, and his Master of Laws in Labor Law from George Washington University Law School. He was elected a Founding Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 1996.
