Angela Thompson is a paralegal in the Firm's Labor & Employment Service Team.  She assists with all stages of the litigation and appeals process including investigation, witness interviews, research, discovery, document management, drafting of pleadings, electronic filing, subpoenaing of witnesses and documents, mediation, trial preparation, technical staging, exhibit preparation, and trial.

Representative Matters

  • Serves as lead paralegal to defense counsel representing both global and national corporations, banks, and higher education institutions in sexual harassment cases, age discrimination lawsuits, gender discrimination claims, wrongful termination claims and breach of contracts.
  • Develops and maintains numerous databases to organize and efficiently manage voluminous amounts of case material and documents such as employee records from various companies and educational institutions.
  • Reviews and redacts employment records and other documents containing confidential information for production and filing in accordance with protective orders, confidentiality agreements, and court filing rules.
  • Coordinates with sheriffs, constables, and private investigators to locate and subpoena witnesses both in-state and out-of-state for depositions and trials.
  • Assisted attorneys in the trial of a federal mining death case; assisted in the representation of a private Kentucky college with the defense of a Title IX complaint pending before the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights; assisted in trials of employment cases in various Kentucky state courts.
