Mike Fine, Partner in the Firm's Health Care Service Team and Taxation group, will be moderating a luncheon program as part of the American Health Lawyers Association seminar, "Tax Issues for Health Care Organizations." The Tax and Finance Practice Group of the AHLA is hosting a luncheon program on the topic "Tax Policy Update from the Hill: Through the Election and Beyond." Mark Prater, Deputy Staff Director and Chief Tax Counsel on the Senate Finance Committee for Republican Staff, and Janice Mays, former Staff Director and Chief Counsel to the House Ways and Means Committee Democratic Staff, will be discussing the potential for comprehensive tax reform in 2017, including how “integration” proposals might eliminate double taxation for corporations. They will also discuss the tax reform plans of this year’s presidential candidates, the House Republican’s tax reform blueprint, and what to expect from the upcoming lame-duck session, if anything.
