60-day Grace Period Added On To First Provider Relief Fund Reporting Deadline

In recognition of the challenging time providers are facing due to the Delta variant and recent natural disasters, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced a 60-day grace period following the upcoming September 30th deadline of the first Provider Relief Fund Report in order to help those providers unable to make the deadline achieve reporting compliance. This grace period begins on October 1st and ends on November 30th. Although deadlines to use the funds, along with the Reporting Time Period, have not changed, HHS will not initiate collection activities on any providers who miss the September 30th reporting deadline during the 60-day grace period. HHS strongly encourages those providers who are able to meet the original reporting deadline.
