Alex Hamilton is a member of the Firm's Labor & Employment Service Team.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of employee benefits including the design, implementation and termination of qualified retirement plans, including ESOPs, health and welfare plans, nonqualified deferred compensation, stock options, and other executive compensation arrangements.  He has extensive experience in handling and negotiating benefits issues in business transactions.  His practice also includes benefits controversies and litigation.

  • Heading a team that designed, installed and currently maintains a state-of-the-art "KSOP" for an affiliate of one of the largest companies in the world
  • Creating complex and sophisticated deferred compensation and retirement planning design for high level public university employees, including athletic coaches
  • Successfully representing employers before the IRS, Department of Labor and EEOC, including a recent very favorable settlement with the Department of Labor involving plan investments for a medium-sized employer
