Dayo Seton, CIPP/US, is a member of the Firm's Intellectual Property Protection & Litigation Service Team.  He concentrates his practice in intellectual property, commercial litigation, including commercial and individual tort law, and labor and employment.  Dayo is also a member of the Firm’s Data Privacy & Security Team, responsible for advising clients in the banking, healthcare and other industries on data security and privacy issues.  He also counsels clients regarding website terms of use and privacy policies and their responses to data security incidents.

Representative Matters

  • Representation of clients in cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
  • Assist clients with cease and desist letters to trademark infringers.
  • Represented a regional dental practice in reaching a favorable settlement agreement on a matter involving a third party's unauthorized use of the practice's service mark.
  • Obtained a dismissal of former employees' breach of contract claim against multi-national commercial client.
  • Assisted in obtaining a substantial judgment in a jury trial, involving client's claims for revocation of acceptance, breach of express and implied warranties, fraud and violation of the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act.
