Wyatt Announces New Partners and New Executive Committee Members

Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP is pleased to announce that it has elected five new Partners and two new members to its Executive Committee.

The new Partners are Andrew Amonette, resident in the Firm’s Nashville office; Cliff Ashburner, resident in the Firm’s Louisville office; and Ben Keller, Leila O’Carra and Brian Wells, all resident in the Firm’s Lexington office. The new members of the Firm’s Executive Committee are Pat Mattingly, resident in the Firm’s Louisville office and Larry Crawford, resident in the Firm’s Memphis office.

Mr. Amonette is a member of the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Service Team. He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy, his M.B.A from Oklahoma City University and his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Mr. Ashburner is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate & Construction Service Team and leader of the Firm’s Sustainability Service Area. He is Chairman of the Board of the Kentucky Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, and was recently appointed by Governor Steve Beshear to the to the Board of Directors for the Center for Renewable Energy Research and Environmental Stewardship. Mr. Ashburner received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University and his law degree from the University of Kentucky.

Mr. Keller is a member of the Firm’s Natural Resources & Environmental Service Team. Prior to his law career, Mr. Keller was a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte & Touche. He received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Kentucky.

Ms. O’Carra is a member of the Firm’s Labor & Employment Service Team. Prior to joining the Firm, she served as a law clerk to Judge Jennifer B. Coffman, U.S. District Court Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. Ms. O’Carra received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her law degree from the University of Kentucky.

Mr. Wells is a member of the Firm’s Natural Resources & Environmental Service Team. He concentrates his practice in corporate mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis in mineral and energy transactions. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Coal Association, and a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, the Kentucky Oil and Gas Association and the Lexington Coal Exchange. Mr. Wells received his B. A. from the University of Kentucky, his J.D. from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, and his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Mr. Crawford is the Co-Chair of the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Service Team and is a member of the Firm’s Diversity, Marketing, Professional Personnel and Recruiting Committees. He has been included in peer review publications, such as Woodward White’s Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers, both in the Commercial Litigation category. Mr. Crawford served as a Law Clerk to The Hon. Robert M. McRae, Jr., United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from Rhodes College and his law degree from Vanderbilt University.

Mr. Mattingly is the Chair of the Firm’s Natural Resources & Environmental Service Team. He has earned numerous accolades in peer review publications, including Chambers USA: Leading Lawyers for Business in Kentucky, under the Mergers & Acquisitions category. Mr. Mattingly received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami (Ohio) and his law degree from the University of Louisville.
