Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP is pleased to announce that the Louisville Bar Foundation has approved the nomination of Virginia H. Snell to its Board of Directors.
The Louisville Bar Foundation was founded in 1981 as the charitable arm of the Louisville Bar Association. Since that time, it has distributed more than $2.5 million in grants to community organizations for the following purposes: legal services for the poor and indigent, improvement of the judiciary and law-related education. The Foundation’s board makes annual grants using funds from its permanent endowment, currently valued at $2.7 million.
Ms. Snell regularly represents clients in appellate courts and in cases before lower courts that are likely to proceed to the appellate level. Her experience encompasses a wide range of issues, including constitutional, contract, statutory, class action, regulatory, professional malpractice, trusts and estates, wrongful death, tax, healthcare provider, employment and business disputes. She is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and is based in Wyatt’s Louisville office. Ms. Snell is a Master of the Brandeis Inn of Court, as well as a member of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and Litigation Counsel of America. Active in the local community, Ms. Snell is a member of the Litigation Committee of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Snell is AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell, has been recognized by Kentucky Super Lawyers for the past nine years and included in the Top 25 Women Attorneys in Kentucky. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas, summa cum laude, and her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors.
