Best Lawyers is a highly respected peer review publication for the legal profession. Only a single lawyer in each practice area in each community is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year” for 2012. Deborah A. Bilitski, Lawyer of the Year Land Use & Zoning Law
Ms. Bilitski represents developers, businesses, and property owners in obtaining zoning changes, conditional use permits, variances, subdivisions, landmarks and overlay district approvals, and other land use and development approvals, and handles land use litigation and appeals in court.
Carole D. Christian, Lawyer of the Year Administrative/Regulatory Law
Ms. Christian is Co-Chair of the Firm's Health Care Service Team. She represents health care clients in certificate of need hearings, court appeals, Medicaid appeals, Medicare reimbursement and similar negotiations and disputes with state and federal regulatory authorities. Ms. Christian has counseled clients extensively on new and emerging issues in health care regulation, including compliance programs and codes of conduct; electronic medical records; and, the Health Care Reform law.
Stewart E. Conner, Lawyer of the Year Financial Services Regulation Law
Mr. Conner is the former Chair of the Firm's Executive Committee and a member of the Corporate & Securities Service Team. He concentrates his practice in the general corporate, corporate finance, securities and banking areas.
Bruce K. Dudley, Lawyer of the Year Trusts and Estates
Mr. Dudley is a member of the Firm's Tax, Business & Personal Planning Service Team. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, charitable planning, business succession planning and estate and trust administration.
K. Gregory Haynes, Lawyer of the Year Litigation-Securities

H. Carl Horneman, Lawyer of the Year Litigation-Environmental
Mr. Horneman is a member of the Firm's Natural Resources & Environmental Service Team. Grover C. Potts, Jr., Lawyer of the Year Litigation-Real Estate
Mr. Potts is a member of the Firm's Real Estate & Construction Service Team. He represents a broad range of clients from governmental units and agencies, to closely-held companies and multinational Fortune 500 corporations. He is General Counsel to the largest private university system in Kentucky, and also serves as General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors of a multinational dental supply and restoration company.
Virginia Hamilton Snell, Lawyer of the Year Appellate Practice
Ms. Snell chairs the Firm's Appellate Advocacy service area. She regularly represents clients in appellate courts and in cases before lower courts that primarily involve questions of law and are likely to proceed to the appellate level. Her experience encompasses a wide range of issues, including constitutional, contract, statutory, class action, regulatory, legal malpractice, trusts and estates, wrongful death, tax, healthcare provider, employment, and business disputes.

Ms. Greenwell concentrates her practice in the areas of mineral, energy and property law, and commercial litigation. She has assisted coal, oil, gas and energy industry clients with all manner of transactions, including leasing matters, asset acquisitions and divestitures, corporate mergers and stock acquisitions, and bankruptcy sales.
Robert E. Craddock, Jr., Lawyer of the Year Insurance Law
Mr. Craddock is Co-Chair of the Litigation Department of the Firm and also serves on the Firm's Executive Committee.
