Kentucky Supreme Court Rules in Governor Beshear's Favor in Separation of Powers and Sovereign Immunity Case

The Kentucky Supreme Court reversed the lower court in the Haydon Bridge, et al. vs. Commonwealth of Kentucky case, ruling that the Governor was within his rights and is not required to move more than $30 million from the General Fund into the Benefit Reserve Fund.  The Supreme Court also ruled that the Plaintiffs' attorneys are not entitled to the over $8 million in attorneys fees awarded by the trial court.  To read the entire opinion click here.
