Kathie McDonald-McClure selected for Leadership Kentucky 2017

Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP is pleased to announce that The Leadership Kentucky Selection Committee recently selected Kathie McDonald-McClure to be part of Leadership Kentucky 2017.  Founded in 1984, Leadership Kentucky was chaired by Wilson W. Wyatt, Sr., who helped guide the establishment of the statewide leadership development program.  Leadership Kentucky is an educational organization dedicated to developing the talents and energies of Kentucky’s present and emerging leaders.  Graduates of the program serve a vital role in the unified effort to shape Kentucky’s future.  Leadership Kentucky accepts only 50 participants each year.  To date, the program has more than 1,400 graduates living and working in every district of the state.

Ms. McDonald-McClure is a Partner in Wyatt’s Louisville office and concentrates her law practice on health care with a focus on contractual and regulatory compliance and on data privacy and security with a focus on incident response and policy development.  She was with Kindred Healthcare for 12 years as in-house counsel, culminating in a position as Vice President and Counsel of Liability Claims.  Ms. McDonald-McClure has a Certification in Healthcare Compliance and is a regular presenter on healthcare law and data privacy and security.  She created and edits Wyatt HITECH Law, a legal blog about data privacy and security.  She serves on GLI’s Health Policy Committee and its Health Enterprises Network Advisory Board. 

Ms. McDonald-McClure is a member of the Kentucky, Louisville and American Bar Associations, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Compliance Association and International Association of Privacy Professionals, among others.  She has been recognized by Woodward/White’s The Best Lawyers in America® Health Care Law (2009-2017) and received the highest Professional AV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.  Ms. McDonald-McClure attended both Murray State University and the University of Louisville, earning her B.S.B.A. with highest honors from UofL.  She earned her law degree from UofL Brandeis School of Law, where she served as the law review’s Executive Editor.
