Chris Brooker and Steve Pitt, members of the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Service Team, recently won two budget bill cases for the Governor in the Kentucky Supreme Court. The Court upheld the General Assembly's practice of suspending certain laws and transferring surpluses of agency accounts to the General Fund. The ruling came in two cases. One was brought by the Louisville Soccer Alliance and the Catholic Conference of Kentucky, and the other by a group of licensed contractors.
