On September 21, 2018, Amber Floyd was featured in an article published on the Tennessee State Courts website regarding her 2018 Janice M. Holder Access to Justice Award from the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services.
The article highlighted Ms. Floyd's commitment to the vulnerable populations in the state receiving the civil legal help that they need, specifically through the multiple expungement clinics, the first of which attracted more than 1,000 visitors.
Justice Holder said, “The list of accomplishments of this relatively new addition to the legal profession goes on. It is fitting that someone whose pro bono service is the heart of her work as a lawyer should share this award with a pioneer for whom such service was a ministry.”
In addition to Ms. Floyd, the late Former Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Frank W. Drowota II also received the award.
